Event types — customising what your team tracks

Every team has its own scoring system. Configure the events you track and what they're worth.

Every team has its own scoring system. GameStats ships sensible defaults but lets you bend them to match how you coach.

Where to find it: Teams → [your team] → Settings → Events

For each event type you can:

  • Toggle active — hide events you don't track (e.g. some teams ignore Tips)
  • Set the value — weighted points used in player rankings (e.g. an Intercept might be worth +4, a Bad Pass −10)
  • Set possession impact — does this event represent a gain (+1), loss (−1), or neutral (0)?
  • Reorder events — the order here is the order they appear on the console's event panel

The defaults

  • Scoring: Goal, Goal 2pt, Miss, Miss 2pt, Rebound, Goal Assist
  • Possession (gains): Intercept, Deflection, Rebound, Pickup, Tip, Held Ball, Centre Pass Received
  • Possession (losses): Bad Pass, Pass Intercept, Handling Error
  • Infringement: Minor Infringement, Contact, Obstruction
  • System (auto-logged): Centre, Opp Centre, Opp Goal, Opp Goal 2pt

💡 Tip

Why values matter: The Player Report's “Total” column is the sum of (count × value) for each event type. If you set Intercept = 4 and Bad Pass = −10, a player with 5 intercepts and 2 bad passes scores +20 − 20 = 0. Tune the values to reflect what your coaching philosophy actually rewards.
